Miss South Carolina Teen USA Lauren Caitlin Upton had a truly blonde moment when she took to the stage during the Miss Teen USA contest for the question time segment of the beauty contest.
The pretty blonde chose judge Aimee Teegarden, a TV actress, who asked her this question:
"Recent polls have shown a fifth of Americans can’t locate the United States on a world map. Why do you think this is?"
Not a really tough question but one that threw Upton, but like a true pro she spoke with such confidence, you couldn't tell she had no idea what she was talking about.

Comments: I saw the video for many times but the Youtube members may be too harsh on Lauren. The question wasn't very hard but weird. Mostly importantly the pressure being watched by millions of viewers around the US and the world led to this "blonde moment." The video has been viewed already by 11 million viewers on Youtube and has became a internet phenomenon. Pageant Beauties will attempt to contact Lauren and interview her on the incident. Will Miss Teen USA 2008 be on television?
It has been announced on March 2007 that NBC has not renewed the Miss Teen USA broadcast rights and Miss Teen USA 2007 will be the last year that the pageant is broadcasted on NBC. The popular pageant will become a smaller event helded in the same venue near the Miss USA pageant helded in late March or early April. Miss Teen USA 2007 Hilary Carol Cruz will also reign for the shortest amount of time. Pageant fans eagerly hope for a new solution and hope that the Miss Teen USA pageant can find a new station to broadcast.

My Top Five
New Jersey Great presentation in swimsuit and evening gown. Very confident. Best Preliminary Performance winner and Best In Swimsuit winner.
North Carolina She did not do as well as excepted in preliminaries but her final performance might bring her to second place.
Colorado Many fans pick her as their top 5 favorite and she do well in the preliminaries.
West Virginia Good evening gown and very tall. Except her to do well. Best In Evening Gown winner.
Kentucky Best in Offical Portrait winner and beautiful on stage.
My Top Ten
Texas Sophisticated and poised. Should break the two year curse.
Washington She did not do very well in the preliminaries but with her Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2005 2nd runner up title, she has experience and style.
New York Very good in swimsuit. Knows her to walk and turn. Not the best gown but should make the cut.
Virginia Strong delegate, could move up to a higher position.
Indiana Good in the preliminaries and confident.
My Top Fifteen
Alaska Do well in the preliminaries and the sash factor might not be considered.
South Carolina Very good in preliminaries and stunning in evening gown.
Kansas Very tall and pretty.
Arkansas Scored high in the preliminaries and even though she is 5'4", she has a chance.
Tennessee On the bubble. Not the best gown but she is a favorite with many pageant fans.
Alternates (16th to 25th): Minnesota, Florida, Louisiana, Oregon, California, Wyoming, Nebraska, Alabama, South Dakota, and Rhode Island. *All of the alternates are strong and they might easily win the crown* Pageant Beauties wish all of the delegates the best of luck! Show on!

My Top Five
New Jersey Dominated both competitions. Best In Swimsuit.
West Virginia Stunning and one of the best gowns in the pageant. Best In Evening Gown.
Virginia Tied with West Virginia right now in the preliminaries.
Colorado A top 5 favorite and had a good performance. Should have no problem making the cut.
Indiana Great turns in swimsuit and great gown choice. Victoria looked confident in the swimsuit competition and should bring Indiana back into the top 15.
My Top Ten
Texas Great gown and great presentation. Sommer should break the two year curse.
Arkansas A little lost in height but had a great presentation.
New York Could of received a higher score if a better gown was chosen. However she should make the cut.
Alaska Alaska hasn't done very well at Miss Teen USA, but Muriel has a chance.
Minnesota Beautiful gown and good preliminary performance.
My Top Fifteen
Wyoming Not a favorite by many but she did quite well in the preliminaries.
Louisiana Youngest delegate at pageant.
North Carolina A big favorite considered by many, she might easily make the top 5 during the finals. Had a average performance in preliminaries.
Nebraska Good green gown and looks calm. Nebraska has made the Miss Teen USA cut for two times in the last three years and Lauren is strong.
Kentucky Looking good in swimsuit but not the best gown.
Alternates (16th to 20th place): Oregon, Kansas, South Carolina, North Dakota, and California. *Miss Washington was a favorite but she did not do as well as excepted in the preliminaries.*

NBC TO BROADCAST MISS TEEN USA® 2007 COMPETITION

NEW YORK, NY, June 27, 2007 - Paula M. Shugart, President of the Miss Universe Organization, announced today that the 25th Annual Miss Teen USA®Competition will be held in Pasadena, California. The event will be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on August 24th, 2007 and broadcast live nationwide on NBC at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
Located at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains, Pasadena is just 15 minutes north of downtown Los Angeles in sunny southern California. During the pageant period, friends, family members and fans are expected to visit Pasadena and millions will tune-in to watch the live telecast.
Montana native, Katie Blair, Miss Teen USA® 2006, , spent her reign this past year traveling the nation as a spokesperson for various teen issues as well as participating in numerous community service projects around the country. Blair will crown her successor at the conclusion of the two-hour primetime telecast, before an estimated viewing audience of 250 million. Each contestant from all 50 states and the District of Columbia will be judged in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview. The show will conclude with one girl ultimately being crowned Miss Teen USA® 2007.
